Today after the longest plane ride of my life, about 12 1/2 hours, I finally arrived in Beijing, very tired. I have lost track of the last time I slept because all the time changes that I have experienced in the last few days. After going through the customs at the airport, which took a surprisingly short time, we were on our way into the city. after arriving at our school and unloading the buses, we had a quick meeting before being ushered away by our host parents. I went home with my host family to their apartment, which is pretty close to the school. They have a daughter my age, Sun Yijing, who also attends our school. They took me out to dinner and we ate real Chinese food. Pretty interesting stuff. We had a couple noodle dishes, some mushrooms, tofu, and fish we picked out ourselves. All in all it was a great night, but I am so tired. Tomorrow and sunday we have orientation, and we start school on Monday.
